D.I.Y. Playdough Recipe

Playdough that you can make at home with some simple ingredients.

This recipe involves some cooking on your stove but the finished product is a better texture in my opinion.

  • Just make sure to keep this away from your pets and don't let children eat it. It is non-toxic but it does contain a lot of salt which isn't good ingest.

Basic Ingredients:
2 cups flour
2 cups warm water
1 cup salt
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1 Tablespoon cream of tartar (optional for improved elasticity)
food coloring (liquid, powder, or unsweetened drink mix)

Mix all of the ingredients together, and stir over low heat on the stove top. The mixture will begin to thicken until it resembles mashed potatoes.

When the dough pulls away from the sides and clumps in the center, remove the pan from heat and allow the dough to cool enough to handle.

NOTE: if your playdough is still sticky, you just need to cook it longer.
Keep stirring and cooking until the dough is dry and feels like playdough.

Amazing Crock Pot Chicken Stuffing Recipe

This is one of my favorite Crock Pot Recipes. It's a perfect meal if you are craving a Thanksgiving meal or just some yummy comfort food. It's very affordable and the best part is, you just throw it all in a Crock Pot and you will have a great meal 5 hours later.

Yummy Crock Pot Chicken Stuffing:
4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
 1 1/2 cup chicken broth
2 (10.75 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
2 cups of Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix
 A few slices of butter

Season chicken with salt and pepper and place into bottom of a slow cooker. Pour broth mixed with soup over the chicken then pour stuffing on top, then lay desired amount of sliced butter over the top of the stuffing.
Cover and cook on Low for 5 hours.

Just an F.Y.I. If you have never used Crock Pot liners before, they are awesome. They fit right into your slow cooker so you don't have to deal with the mess, I love them! You can check them out Here or most grocery stores have them.

Breaking the Addiction to Diet Soda

I use to drink regular soda when I was younger and the idea of drinking diet soda then was really gross. When I got older and started to actually drink diet, I found it very hard to stop drinking it and I found that it was actually inhibiting my weight loss. Sure we all know that regular soda and diet are both not very good for us but sometimes it's just nice to have something other than water. Here is a tip that I found so that you can still enjoy the taste of soda while avoiding all of the chemicals in diet pop or all of the sugar in regular.

Homemade Lemon Lime Soda:
1. Use sparkling water or soda water.
2. Add a splash of lemon juice and lime juice
3. Add a few drops of liquid Stevia for a little sweetness.

There you have it. It's a very simple way to enjoy a soda without the bad stuff. You can even play around with this and add real fruit juices for flavor. You can get the liquid Stevia from any natural grocery store and they even sell it in different flavors. I have tried the lemon flavored Stevia and it is one of my favorites! I sometimes add it to iced tea or just plain ice water.

My Fergie Wet N Wild Contest Design

Hi guys check out my Wet N Wild Fergie nail design. I won 2nd place on a Wet N Wild contest with this design. :-)

My Hair's New Best Friend!

I have extremely thick hair and I have had problems with frizz for as long as I can remember! I avoid the hair dryer like the plague and I can't even count the amount of different products that I have tried out over the years. I have even resorted to using a hot clothing iron to straighten my hair in the past. I recently signed up for a word of mouth website called BzzAgent.com and I received a full size sample of Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Miracle Dry Oil for free to try out. I have tried many Garnier Fructis products and I think that they are all great but let me tell you that this one is awesome!! It is a multipurpose oil for dry hair, skin and the face and it is the first product of its kind that is available in your local retail stores such as Walmart and Target. First off the frizz taming ability of this oil is amazing! It smoothed my hair out with only a couple squirts. It also smells great. The scent reminds me of fresh trees and  scents of spring. I do need to say that a little bit of oil goes a long way and there is no need to use to much of it. It also works great on the skin! I live in such a dry climate so I have become accustom to having horribly dry skin and hair. Upon the first application to my skin, the product did have somewhat of an oily feel but it quickly absorbed and then my skin felt very soft and smooth. Since receiving the Nutrition Dry Oil, whenever I go somewhere I have it tagging along with me in my purse and I love to spritz my skin with it throughout the day. I think that this stuff is great and I was so excited to share my review with others. I will definitely be buying this product in the future.
